Hass Avocado Grafted Plant

The Hass Méndez variety of Mexican grafted avocado plant is the strength of an avocado export industry. More than 2 million metric tons are harvested each year and just over half are exported to the United States alone. For more than 40 years this plant has been distributed throughout the state of Michoacán and is based on a Creole rootstock. More than 169 thousand hectares are planted with this variety only in the state of Michoacán, Mexico.
